Data centers target rural communities for lower costs, not to create high-quality jobs, study finds
Local governments often tell residents that the power-hungry developments will bring numerous tech jobs to their communities. A new study contradicted that.

Reminder that we all know what someone ACTUALLY trying to ram people with a car looks like thanks to the multuole MAGAs that have done just that to protesters over the years.

Renee Good was definitely NOT trying to do that.

Strange how trump is so concerned about Iran killing protesters, when he has indicated his own desire to do just that here.

Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.

SCOTUS decided Trump couldn’t illegally use the military in the U.S. so he opted to illegally use it abroad.

Military personnel are signaling their fidelity to the rule of law, but are wise to maintain ambiguity. Military intervention should only follow a complete failure of normal politics, such as the suspension of elections. An active, engaged citizenry can save our democracy. Let’s not punt the work.
Are they ready to save it not privately—

There must be zero tolerance for violence — of any kind — against the brave men and women in uniform who selflessly serve our communities and our country. The shooting of National Guard members in Washington, D.C. is horrific and unacceptable.

16 minutes into Stranger Things S5 and I have two thoughts:

1) The use of AI in the opening scene spells trouble for the film and television industry; and
2) Why are Soldiers wearing the Fort Benning Maneuver Center for Excellence patch? They aren’t in TRADOC.

The death of two national guardsmen is a horrific tragedy.

It is also an orchestrated tragedy by a president hellbent on creating a tinder box environment across the country.
