After spending 5 days in-person with some of my co-workers I am resolute that remote work is the best option to maintain sanity.

My annual company retreat is this week, but bc most of us are in BC they’re flying everyone else in and putting us up at a hotel. There are dress themes to each evening gathering. I have a medium sized suitcase for a 5 day stay in my own city 🤦🏻‍♀️

Budgies Burritos has set up a cheeky livestream of the crosswalk at Main and 8th, if anyone wants to see what it's like to cross a block away from the Worst Intersection in Metro Vancouver (and during the Broadway shutdown)

Some times the work day just feels so long it’s like anything before 10am was a completely different day. Like I just had to remind myself I already did a 1 hour workout this morning.

I was explaining to a friend that I wasn’t interested in traveling to see a musician I really like that couldn’t be bothered book a date remotely near me and said “Also I’m just really not into giving more millionaires my money.”

If I had a nice smaller local theatre I could walk to I would go to a lot more movies solo.

Just sat through the latest Avatar movie and there should be a ban on movies longer than 2 hours for at least the next 5 years.

Guys, please, in 2026 make an effort to recognize and ignore obvious internet bait.

I used to knock tiktok, but there’s currently a multi round dance battle happening between multiple accounts and I absolutely love it. Merry Christmas.

This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

I guess “unsafe food” is going higher on the list of things that will probably kill me bc we live under the rule of monsters
Congress’s shutdown deal eliminated key food safety rules, blocking agencies from enforcing measures to prevent contamination and trace outbreaks. This rollback has coincided with a surge in hospitalizations and deaths from foodborne illnesses.
