Located in northwestern Ukraine, the Volyn humanitarian corridor is the only working checkpoint between Ukraine and Belarus, and is almost exclusively used by people escaping the occupied territories. Yet many who pass through it say they have hope of returning home.

#Belarus Political prisoner Mikita Zalatarou, who has epilepsy and has repeatedly reported torture in custody, cut his veins in the Orsha colony. He was rushed to hospital and survived, but his condition is alarming. He was 16 when he was arrested in 2020.
