I don’t remember Donald Trump making the invasion of Venezuela/removal of Maduro, the annexation of Greenland, or regime change in Cuba a hallmark of his reelection campaign. I do remember him campaigning on America First and ending America’s decades long entanglement in foreign wars.Fucking liar!

The biggest reason the Senate should never end the filibuster is because both parties advocate for the end of it when they are the ones in power. It’s one of the few remaining tools we have against extremism in Congress.

The dems put the country through 40 days of hell to come way with basically nothing. This is why Dems always lose and why the GOP always wins. Their lack of empathy and compassion is their greatest strength and our greatest weakness. This will cost the Dems the midterms. Mark my words.

When democrats cave and reopen the government without ACA subsidies they will alienate base voters as well as swing voters concerned about healthcare costs. The RIF reversals they get in exchange will be short lived and quickly reneged by Trump after. Dems will end up losing the midterms over this.

Since 1995, all four government shutdown have occurred during periods where the Republicans controlled at least one house of Congress. In 3 of the 4, Republicans controlled both house of Congress. Republicans do not know how to govern. They only know how to create chaos.
