Happy Sunday Womble. A bit under the weather here, but having a gentle day and indulging in another #ScifiMonth2025 reread with the Sisters of the Vast Black by Lina Rather

My next read is a Uruguayan dystopian novel about a woman trying to survive an ecological crisis: Pink Slime by Fernanda Trías

Seconded! This duology is just so rich and textured. May have to reread it now :)

Ahhhh always a favourite. My first favourite Culture novel, and yes - that cover art is A Choice

Indeed!

I’ve spent today finishing The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch. I’ve enjoyed revisiting the Gentleman Bastards (as always) but excited to pick up a new-to-me SF audio read next. Off to scare myself with Cold Eternity by SA Barnes next.

Still enjoying Ancillary Justice as my (ocular?) read.

Day 10: the friends we made on the way - damn right your co-captains would like to take this excuse to say a huge LOVE YOU to our crew past and present who’ve celebrated #ScifiMonth with us over the years 💖🚀

Spine poetry was an old Instagram tag way back

It is intended as a free-form poem made out of book titles, yes. There’s a narrative thread (in my head, heh), but no rhyming or scansion - partly because poetry is 100% not my skillset and partly because I’m working with book titles on my shelf.

Might’ve helped if I’d added punctuation
