I have co-hosted, helped with, done stuff for and gone to so many wedding and baby showers. When I was about 30 (never married, no kids), I can't remember why there was one I didn't want to go to, but my mom said "Well if you don't go to theirs, nobody will come to yours!" Blissfully still true.

The hotel I'm calling in Boston for a reservation adjustment has an English accent. I know it sounds fancy, but Bostonian is one of the most distinctive American accents we have, and that would be a nice touch.

Exactly. He's just himself. The same guy we saw on TV and in Insta reels. He doesn't have to put anything on because it's just really him. It's easy to be yourself.
I have actually not seen Mamdani give a formal speech and what I’ll say is that unlike so many of his peers he is not trying to mimic anyone in his delivery. He is simply being himself and it is very effective.
I’ve been interested in political speeches for as long as I can remember. I’ve listened to nearly every inaugural and major address, and I’ve given tons of public speeches myself.
Zohran’s talent in this arena ranks among the best. He’s damn good. Hella good. Remarkably good.

Mamdani is speaking and I'm only crying a little (so far). Just a guy saying he wants to help people and fix things and actually make things better. And something about that is enough to move a 2025 regular American person to tears.
