One thing about finally going to therapy and dealing with my issues with my parents, is that I'm so easily irritated by them now. Like this text I just got from my dad, "Any ideas for Christmas?" and my brain exploded like NO, I AM TIRED AND I DON'T WANT TO DO IT, I HATE ALL OF IT.

The kid and I had a conversation last night about the pagan celebration of Yule/winter solstice ("which was co-opted by the Church and re-named Christmas" - thanks, SPN.) We are going to try to work some Yuletide traditions into our holiday this year.

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.
