So basically, if people actually knew what they were voting for in 2016, we would never have left the EU 🇪🇺
"68% of Britons would now accept a return to free movement across borders in exchange for regaining access to the EU's single market. Among those who voted to Leave in 2016, the margin for Returning stands at 54-35%. Even 44% of Reform Party voters are in favour of it."

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Putin won with Brexit, don’t let him win with Ukraine! #NATO #EU 🇺🇦
As Trump and Putin work to crush Ukraine and destabilise Europe and Farage’s ally gets sentenced to 10yrs for taking Russian bribes, it’s a good time to revisit this excellent report on how the British rightwing has betrayed us all.
Brexit was their weapon of choice.

Trump & Putin insist that Ukraine never join NATO, it’s one of their key demands to end the war. If Ukraine were a member of NATO, that would also end the war. I know what one would benefit Ukraine & Europe the most!
Be in no doubt that this is a perilous moment. America’s proposal prescribes a deeply insecure future for Ukraine and richly rewards Vladimir Putin’s aggression
Donald Trump’s peace plan would be bad for Ukraine, Europe and America
It is a sad mix of naked opportunism and strategic myopia

She’s absolutely right, if only Trump saw it like that. Another way is for all NATO members to invite Ukraine to become members.
Former Finnish PM Sanna Marin put it bluntly: “To end the conflict, Russia must leave Ukrainian territory.”

Just one point. Nothing more to discuss.

Farage agrees with Putin on everything, including leaving the ECHR. Why would the UK want to join a group that includes Russia and Belarus?
Nigel Farage is owned by Russia. Vote Leave was illegally financed by Russia. Brexit was and is a Russian active measure to harm Britain and its home in Europe.
October 6, 2025 at 5:25 PM
The only European countries not in #ECHR are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Russia, and the Vatican City. Why on earth would it be a good idea for UK to join them?
We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

But what have Labour done for us? £16 billion of trade, from 3 deals. And in just under a year! No one said it would be easy after 14 yrs of Tory rule!
BBC News sum up gains for the UK

£2 billion - CPTPP
£5 billion - India
£9 billion - EU

However, keeping the UK outside an UK-EU Customs Union, and access to the EU Single Market costs us £140 billion a year

So yes, £9 billion is great, but nowhere near the £140 billion we have lost due to Brexit
