Even worse, when you finally find the courage to file a report, they somehow get the police to think you lied- and have mental issues- when in reality you acted like a traumatized person who gave in to their attacker to avoid more pain 😭

When someone assaulted you and you finally find the courage to leave them alone and tell at least one person your story, why would they then turn around and try to paint you as some bitter ex to multiple people, when the reality is that you're deathly afraid of what they might try next?
