bone idle. clippercard truther. sarnie voyeur.
same playbook, isn't it? the so-called lavender scare of the day - effectively convincing people that gays were a communist threat - eerily similar to what they're trying today painting trans people as terrorists and forcing black people out of governmental jobs. history won't remember them kindly.

no issue with the winning goal, donnarumma's a bit of a wet wipe, and even though the camera angle looked different to the computer graphic sometimes these things are deceptive. some of the penalty claims were weak, but the thiaw handball and the challenge on foden were just very, very clear pens.

photographs of old football stadiums in the snow improve my mood by about 600%.

it's how lots of male-led environments work, isn't it? reminds me of sales jobs i had as a younger man, when you're taught that not knowing the answer to something is some sort of weakness and that confidently being wrong is preferable to nervously being right or asking for help.

sure, but my point is more a general one that i don't think the video assistants are resolving the biggest decisions correctly and consistently enough for it to be worth sacrificing what we lose in terms of spontaneity. the igor jesus disallowed goal yesterday is a good example.

one of my biggest gripes with modern football is that we spend so much time talking about officiating, but it really does feel like every weekend there are half-a-dozen huge calls that we get wrong even with the huge delays, to the point that i think i'd rather we just...organically get them wrong.

he was doing his weird deep conversation with an opponent he does when we lose or don't play well and the cameraman was understandably trying to get close enough to film what he was saying. quite like the theatre of irked pep, tbh. probably my second favourite version of him after sarcastic pep.

i agree in part, but also worth noting that two huge decisions went against their opponents shortly afterwards yesterday.

we were alright today. shipped a few chances, generally controlled the game. liked some of what i saw from foden and cherki. newcastle are miles better than their league position. they overload you wide and it can be horrible to play against, and their midfielders are a right handful. we'll be okay.

feels like liverpool were the last of the big clubs to see the shifting tactical sands in the league. maybe they thought they didn't have to change, or perhaps hughes simply didn't sniff it. think you're bang on about ekitike/newcastle (and by the same logic, wirtz/city). i'd argue they miss nunez.

the best game of the premier league season so far, i think. both sides played well and wasted chances. think it just came down to one side having more legs in the middle of the park. pretty enjoyable all in. still think newcastle might get it together now and finish top four ahead of chelsea, villa.

are there types of sitters other than absolute sitters?
