I just bought oatcakes from the local convenience store. I have never seen this make before. They are small, a bit more pikelet sized.

Trentham bod. I spend a lot of time having meetings here.
Mind you, the coffee is among the best in the area.
Meetings tend to be in the morning, so no Titanic fine ale passes my lips.

Always remember Smith as being hard as nails as a batsman, standing up to hostile bowling, especially against the fearsome West Indies pace attack. Sadly, despite his tough persona at the wicket, it seems he suffered mental health issues in normal life.

I have just been to the Bluebird Cafe, Kingsway, Stoke, for the first time. I am happy to recommend it, a really nice, comfortable space, and the coffee is excellent. It doubles as a cocktail bar in the evenings, and the drinks menu looks special!

Perhaps one of the best corrections on record!

Super cover for the December/Christmas Cheshire Life Magazine.
There's lots of festive coverage inside, including my round-up of Christmas around the Cheshire towns.

And finally, our man from the BBC headed 'up 'Anley' to do what reporters call a Vox Pop.
Pre-Budget coverage on the BBC News Channel, set up via Howle Communications

Now it is Keith Bott, MD Titanic Brewery, giving his #Budget views on BBC TV. He is looking for a fairer system, asking why do physical businesses, such as pubs, pay more than those online? He says it is much better for people to be sociable in a pub, rather than drinking at home.

Congratulations to Tom Curry on being named in World Rugby's 2025 dream team. Let's move on from the BS around the Argentinian match

Here's Daniel Canavan of the Spark Group on the BBC News Channel.
I have helped the BBC to arrange pre-Budget coverage from Stoke-on-Trent today.
Dan mentioned the need for more support to create apprenticeships.
There'll be more coverage later this afternoon.

On this day.
See, we can beat the Aussies at games!
Oh, and good old Ceefax. Remember that?

Enough of the cricket gloom.
Yesterday, I enjoyed a tour of Bramall Hall. These take place regularly (check website) and last for around one hour. It was excellent and I learned a lot.

Love this.
Great stuff from the Manchester Evening News and @andyburnham.bsky.social
To be slightly selfish, can we have a tram link to the CorpAcq Stadium, so more people can easily get to see Sale Sharks?

Brilliant to read that Asher Opoku-Fordjour is getting a start on Saturday. As an old prop and a Sale 🦈supporter, I'm delighted. He will also have his Sale teammate, Luke Cowan-Dickie. next to him in the front row. I reckon there's almost 11 years age difference!

How many times do we see people going XYZ is sh1t after 10 minutes of a football or rugby match?
Then the player ends up as man of the match!
Don't go too early 😏

I used to be just one for the IPA but suddenly I'm going for Stout
Is it because I'm getting old?
