I would hope they do the soul searching behind closed doors.
Quirke in the England Rugby Union training squad. If ever a bloke deserved a break, it's Raffi. Mind you, he'll probably slip over in the car park and need treatment.
Sorry, I wasn't being condescending. I was simply highlighting the properties bit. It is as if Putin and Trump are playing Monopoly with people's lives. That's all, no offence intended.
I was simply highlighting his choice of words. Obviously, I find him appalling, I didn't think I needed to spell that out again.
Regardless, he must be the only politician able to get away with no filter on what he says. Disgraceful.
Trump on Putin and his 'claim' on parts of Ukraine:
"Well, he's gonna take something. I mean, he's won certain property."
An abysmal statement.
Yet Trump pretends to be a man of peace.
It's not a game of Monopoly when you win Leicester Square and Mayfair!
Should players/clubs apologise after a heavy defeat? I say no, I can't expect that as a spectator unless players stop trying. As a supporter, you have to accept the poor displays if you accept the better days. I just got into a debate about this.
Avro FC v Kidsgrove Athletic. What happened? I just saw footage of fighting involving players and fan and two very conflicting club statements. Avro statement not at all professional, regardless of perceptions. Problem for KAFC will be, regardless of build up, players should never fight fans.
Carley obviously concussed from that knock. Never a penalty try @rugbyontnt.bsky.social
Hating on James McLean, which I am sure will happen if he plays at Stoke today, is weird. His opinions are born from his roots and upbringing. Isn't that the kind of thing our own right wing mob want? Me, I prefer a wider view, we're all in it together whether from Longton or Lebanon.
I am thinking about writing about the topics above. Would anyone be interested?
Joining the union felt natural when I got my first journalism job. After I completed my indentures, I moved to a regional daily paper and, before my start date, the big boss rang to say I should be in the NUJ. I already was. How things change!
I covered my first council election in Doncaster in the early 1980s. I was a student journalist shadowing local radio. Labour won every seat. Every winner appeared to be in a union, all believed in the power of community action. I just went on the council website, there are now 35 Reform UK members.
Yes, I agree. After I pressed send I thought I might have written 'pretend to agree with the last person ...' But, fundamentally, the thing about having a revolving door, and agreeing with the last through that door, is the road to ruin.
Trump's art of the deal babble is basically agreeing with the last person who was nice to him. I used to have a boss like that. It was a disaster.
I don't normally post my Wordle score but today I was lucky to get it in six. Weird one as they were common letters.
Today will be mostly watching sport -🏏⚽🏉
Early start with NZ v England, then Stoke v Wrexham, followed by Saracens v Sale 🦈.
Already, at breakfast time, three wins for Eng, SCFC, Sale looking an outside bet.
A real struggle for Buttler and co and now a rain delay #NZvEng
Gloucester and Bristol - no case for the defence. Either defence.
Just switch that game to St Andrews. No sane person wants to go to Birmingham City's ground or its surrounding area
#jobdone 😏
What a trio.
Stoke City royalty.
The word legends is over used in sport, but here we have three #scfc legends in one pic.
Are the Lib Dems on the march?
There were 10 by-elections last night, LD won seven, Conservatives, Reform, and an Independent, one each.
On the Villa row, I say ban Palestinian and Israeli teams from international competitions until the warmongering ends. I guess some would see this as unreasonable.
How come your leeks have a capital L? Are they viv leeks (very important veg?
Regarding Andy Farrell, I don't think I have ever heard anyone who fathered a child at 16 speak about how he felt he'd brought shame on his and his girlfriend's parents. Seems a completely selfless take on life. For context, the girlfriend became and remains his wife and the child is Owen Farrell.
