My heat pump plus solar panels should pay for themselves in 15 years. That’s assuming I get the federal tax credit for solar this year, but I’m also counting the $11K it cost to bring my electric system in line with the fire code. I’m good with it

And let us know what you think. We think we are building useful software, and we’d like to know how it’s working for you. Thanks! (5/5)

If you work with DNA or other biological sequences, and are looking for a better way to track iterative changes to those sequences, and share and collaborate on them with coworkers, please check out our post! (4/5)

Part of our inspiration is git from the software side of things. We fully recognize that DNA is not exactly the same as computer code, but we do think that tracking and sharing genome changes can be made easier, similar to how git helped to track and share code changes. (3/5)

We’re working on software that tracks changes to genomic DNA sequences, both intentional and the actual results from real-life sequencing. We wrote up a blog post describing how that could work for a bacterial genome: www.genhub.bio/blog/2025/10... (2/5)

I wasn’t especially satisfied with a lot of the answers here. Sounds like NY (the state I grew up in!) is doing some stuff to help with renewable energy, but I’m still not clear on the specifics. Even considering the uncertainty caused by what’s happening at the federal level
