Thank you, AD.
The Lakers are playing with their food again. They barely squeaked by in that last game in Utah. You give a bad or shorthanded team this much leash, it can come back to bite you.

This happened for the Lakers in that big win in Portland, and happened against them in the loss at Atlanta.

We're gonna need a truth and reconciliation commission and Nuremberg style trials to reckon with all of this evil, and any Dem candidate for office who shies away from a full reckoning in the name of "moving forward as a nation" can get well and truly fucked

Enjoyed the discussion on the LA's big three.

You not only have to gameplan for those three as individual players, but you also have to account for the different combinations (e.g., Bron/AR, Luka/Bron, all three together).

This has to both mentally and physically exhausting for opposing defenses.
New pod: Lakers Take Axe to Clipper Aspirations

Luka, LeBron, and Austin combined for 99 points in a spirited win over the Clippers that clinched their group in the NBA Cup. The guys discuss emerging chemistry between the stars, the 2nd half defensive adjustments, and more.

That CBS poll from yesterday having Trump down 20 had him down 69-31 among Hispanics.

I’d think even worse for him is that among his disapprovers: 57 of the 69 disapprove strongly. Among his approvers, only 17 of the 31 strongly approve.

Seems like the hate is deep and the love is shallow.

This is heartbreakingly cruel and hypocritical. The same admin that has redefined refugee status to cover white South Africans is now going to drown thousands of refugees already approved for their status in red tape, potentially even seeking to strip some of their status and deport them.
Trump Admin planning a rule to re-decide whether *every* refugee who entered under Biden meets their criteria for a refugee. That’s 230,000 people! And no appeals!

Setting aside for a second the lunacy and authoritarianism surrounding the Trump/Hegseth threat to court martial Mark Kelly, it is also politically moronic. No military court or jury would uphold this, and you only do Kelly a tremendous favor by making him more popular than ever.

Tonight is the polar opposite of a moral victory. Even though they won, they did so in spite of themselves.

LA's looking to take shortcuts on D. On offense, they're squandering easy fastbreak chances. Worst of all, every halfcourt possession they waste 18 seconds before jacking up a contested 3.

Really impressive Kleber minutes - particularly on the defense end.

The Lakers hemorrhage so many easy points in transition. It's insane.

It's kind of remarkable how plodding and lethargic the Lakers can be.

I'm catching up to this game (3 mins left in the first half), but just gotta say again that the Lakers can use a guy like Thiero in a low energy game like this.

And not to pick on Gabe, but he's just doing cardio so far. Would rather have Thiero's size/athleticism out there.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

Simmons and especially Lowe cackling about Bron finally defusing the situation by publicly stating he can fit in with any team was insufferable/disingenuous.

If they had eyeballs, they'd know Bron wanted AD to take the reins, he gave AR the green light, and he played the Draymond role w/ Luka yr.

For those who don't really follow the Dodgers, think of Andrew Friedman as baseball Sam Presti.

Obviously, I hope Walter pursues the actual Presti (or a Brad Stevens). But I would actually trust Friedman to run the Lakers over Pelinka. That's how much smart/adaptable he is.

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
