BREAKING: In Judge Boasberg's contempt inquiry, Plaintiffs include Emil Bove, now a Third Circuit judge, on their list of potential witnesses. Others include Erez Reuveni and Drew Ensign—both of whom Boasberg mentioned as likely witnesses—and Yaakov Roth, a senior official in DOJ's Civil Division.
Second, once these declarations are filed and depending on what information they disclose, the Court should then determine the appropriate sequence of witness testimony, and the manner in which that testimony should be provided. Currie's ruling also seems to rule out a reindictment of Comey by concluding that if the indictment was invalid at the time it was issued, prosecutors can't invoke a federal law that give extension of 6 months-plus in some situations.

only in 1912, 85 years after the oath was abolished was Henry Symeonis' identity rediscovered, they still don't know what he did.

The UVA "deal" might be the worst/most dangerous (so far). With the help of UVA's leadership, Trump coerced a leading U.S. university to foreswear all efforts (including 100% lawful measures) to achieve diversity.

One of the things that I always tried to emphasize with my students is the amount of time that transpires between the end of the Seven Years' War and Independence. People were not counting down the days to 1776, but living their lives. It's difficult to avoid teleology w/this story. #KenBurns #HATM

Yesterday in the Comey hearing, prosecutors *repeatedly* confirmed that the full grand jury never saw or voted on the two-count indictment.

Now they’re claiming the grand jury *did* vote on it.
The government respectfully submits this supplemental filing to correct the record regarding statements during the hearing held on November 19, 2025, before U.S. District Court Judge Michael S. Nachmanoff, suggesting an issue with the grand jury voting process on the indictment returned in Case No. 1:25-CR-272-MSN. The official transcript of the September 25, 2025, proceedings before Magistrate Judge Vaala conclusively refutes that claim and establishes that the grand jury voted on - and true-billed - the two-count indictment. I. The Court and the Foreperson Confirmed the Vote on the Two-Count Indictment The transcript contains the following direct exchange between the Court and the grand jury foreperson: THE COURT: Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you. 10 So you voted on the one that has the two counts? 11 THE FOREPERSON: Yes. Turning to Bovino, the Court specifically finds his testimony not credible. Bovino appeared evasive over the three days of his deposition, either providing “cute” responses to Plaintiffs’ counsel’s questions or outright lying. When shown a video of agents hitting Rev. Black with pepper balls, Bovino denied seeing a projectile hit Rev. Black in the head. Doc. 191- 3 at 162:21–165:17; Doc. 22-44 (Ex. 44 at 0:10–12, available at https://spaces.hightail.com/space/ZzXNsei63k). In another video shown to Bovino, he obviously tackles Scott Blackburn, one of Plaintiffs’ declarants. Doc. 191-3 at 172:13–173:7; Doc. 22-45 (Ex. 45 at 0:19–30, available at https://spaces.hightail.com/space/ZzXNsei63k). But instead of admitting to using force against Blackburn, Bovino denied it and instead stated that force was used against him.

New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.

One agent shot Martinez, with evidence presented to the court that he later bragged about in text messages.

SCUDDER, Circuit Judge No. 25-3023 CHICAGO HEADLINE CLUB, et al., Plaintiffs-Appellees, v. KRISTI L. NOEM, et al., Defendants-Appellants. Appeal from the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division. No. 1:25-cv-12173 Sara L. Ellis, Judge. Seventh Circuit Defendants are likely to succeed on the merits. The preliminary injunction entered by the district court is overbroad. In no uncertain terms, the district court's order enjoins an expansive range of defendants, including the President of the United States, the entire Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, and anyone acting in concert with them. The practical effect is to enjoin all law enforcement officers within the Executive Branch. Further, the order requires the enjoined parties to submit for judicial review all current and future internal guidance, policies, and directives regarding efforts to implement the order — a mandate impermissibly infringing on principles of separation of powers on this record. Finally, the district court's order is too prescriptive. For example, it enumerates and proscribes the use of scores of riot control weapons and other devices in a way that resembles a federal regulation. We also have reservations about Article III standing. Open questions remain whether plaintiffs have shown that the past harm they allegedly faced is likely to imminently happen to them in the future. City of Los Angeles v. Lyons, 461 U.S. 95, 105-06 (1983). A fear that such harm will recur is insufficient, on its own, to show standing for injunctive relief. Id. at 107 n.8. And we are aware of public reporting suggesting that the enhanced immigration enforcement initiative may have lessened or ceased, which could affect both the justiciability of this case and the propriety of injunctive relief. Additionally, defendants face irreparable harm. Trump v. CASA, Inc., 606 U.S. 831, 860-61 (2025). And the balance of equities does not counsel against awarding defendants interim relief, especially given the overbreadth of the preliminary injunction. Id. District Court On October 9, 2025, the Court granted Plaintiffs' motion for a temporary restraining order ("TRO"), enjoining Defendants from taking certain actions that would violate Plaintiffs' First and Fourth Amendment rights. Docs. 42, 43, 44. On October 17, 2025, the Court modified the TRO, requiring all federal agents conducting immigration enforcement operations who are equipped and trained with body-worn cameras ("BWCs") to activate them when engaged in enforcement activity, unless exempted by CBP, ICE, or DHS policy. Doc. 66 9 3. The Court held a preliminary injunction hearing on November 5 and 6, 2025. On November 6, 2025, the Court orally issued its ruling and entered a preliminary injunction order, indicating that a written opinion would follow explaining the Court's ruling and providing supporting evidentiary and case citations. Docs. 250, 251, 256. The Court now sets forth its ruling in more detail below.3
