In honour of @crobertcargill.bsky.social, I popped into the Warhammer shop in Chester. I don't play, but love looking at the models, especially when there are fully-formed table displays on show.

And then, while having the basis for a great non-AC pirate game, managing to make a non-AC pirate game and it being ridiculously inferior to the 10yr-old game SKULL & BONES was meant to evolve.
Black Flag might be the funniest game ever because imagine making the best single-player pirate adventure game for years to come but implementing a feature where it regularly grinds to a halt to play through unrelated hour-long segments where you check your emails at your office cubicle job
