(I never post Olympic videos bc the IOC will hunt you down but I am taking that risk so that you can hear the Canadian curling cursing)

honestly feels unbelievable: Lindsay Vonn attempted and completed her training run today, a week after tearing her ACL, hitting a top speed of 74 mph.
They haven't fixed her ACL, it's just flopping around in there. And her other knee is made out of titanium. Very literally built different

#Crew96 apparently going after Andre Gomes per L‘equipe. 2.5 year contract offer, 6 months left with Lille, who aren't letting him leave.

Talent-wise this is interesting but injury history is unnerving.

Think the Rhino account was the first to see this and posted elsewhere.
Transferts : Columbus (MLS) souhaite faire venir André Gomes (Lille)

How do you add tactical context to football data?

For futi, it starts with a phase of play model.

You say “yes” before they even finish the sentence.
🇨🇦 Sources: FC Toulouse submitted a bid around $2m + add-ons to Columbus Crew for Canadian int'l Jacen Russell-Rowe.

Russell-Rowe's contract expires up at end of year.

Russell-Rowe, 23, had 9g/2a in ~2,000 mins last year for Crew. Wants to go to Europe

Imagining Ohio State losing the CFP final in Ohio Stadium to, like, fucking wake forest or something. That’s this for Miami and it rules, congrats Hoosiers

this write-up is great. Miami aren’t cheating…but the claims any team can do what they’re doing are beyond disingenuous.

This season will be a joke

What a game

Pete Golding A+ coaching job

Selfishly excited Miami won to increase the odds of a tight title game in a couple weeks

Miami making all the stupid mistakes they had been doing all season but didn’t make against OSU

They should probably be up 3 scores rignt now and yet
Ole Miss is explosive enough to keep it a game but Miami pretty clearly shoving them around like they did to OSU.

OSU may have just lost their last two games by one score to the 2 best teams in the sport this year. Frustrating since both were winnable, encouraging it may not be a true regression

Good news: we don’t have to watch the Scottish Premiership anymore 🎉

@stevengodfrey.bsky.social listened to the yahoo podcast - thank you for being blunt about how we shouldn’t be giving SEC teams automatic benefit of doubt next year in rankings. unfortunately agree a lot of media / CFP committee will memory-hole that tho

I always look forward to the Crew season because it’s fun. This year seeing how they adapt to a new manager.

Normally I’m also excited for the MLS season as a whole too. Not for 2026. whole thing seems pointless. Probably the least interesting season coming up if you want a competitive title race.

Went back and started watching the SEC Net post game and within 10 seconds (paraphrasing) “I’m really surprised they played this well. I didn’t think they played anybody”

Amazing how much the ESPN/SEC media is in a bubble
January 2, 2026 at 1:14 AM
Even if OSU came back, they were not winning the title. jaw dropping how much they got pushed around all night in person. wasn’t going to be any better vs TTU, Indiana, Oregon, or Georgia

Would be less concerned if OSU was just getting outschemed or something

They’re flat out bad compared to Miami in the trenches. Nothing else matters.

I get bowl games have major caveats nowadays on how much meaning can be taken from them, but I’ve been led to believe the SEC is so deep these results shouldn’t happen

I was fine with the Russell Martin hire if it happened. I really like this one from the 5 minutes I've read about Henrik though.

Could work, may not. But the tactical approach looks fun and in line with what Columbus had been trying to do under Nancy.
🇸🇪 Sources: The Columbus Crew are finalizing a deal to name Henrik Rydström the club’s next head coach, as @michaelarace1.bsky.social first reported.

Rydström won two league titles with Malmö and is a proponent of attractive, front-footed soccer.
