I was introduced through the Red Box, but AD&D 2e really defined my formative years playing and Dungeon Mastering. 2E and 3E/3.5 were both distinct eras.

Tyranny of Dragons is a crazy, messy campaign (which is understandable given its production), and requires near total reworking to run. But man, in that reworking, some of my favorite DMing has happened.
It is not a very good campaign as written, but it has become one of the best.
