A little touch I’ve always loved from Donna is the ending to Ramble on Rose. Always been a sucker for the build up and release on that last “GOODBYE MAMA AND PAPA.” And starting in 77, Donna would start singing a “YEA-A-A-AH.” One of those small touches where the song feels hollower without

Also I'm proud of the way the deadhead discourse shifted around Donna in the last generation: from a mixed bag with a lot of mean spirited critique and no small amount of overt misogyny, to an overwhelming wave of love and respect. You don't have to love her work but if you disrespect her you're OUT
