Very. And now that the personality traits of my adoptive parents that I've never meshed well with are so pronounced in their older years, I can barely stand to be around them. I haven't lived near them for 25yrs and rarely visit.

Right. On my way.

Oh wow, that's incredible 😍
November 28, 2025 at 11:11 PM
I did the same my whole life - looking for people who looked like me. Even just people that had interests/skills like mine. I never felt like I fitted in with my adopted family, despite being adopted as a newborn in the 80s.

...Downstairs. What's even better is the adverts are slightly quite than the show you're watching, so you're not ear blasted! Just in case people are looking for something to watch! 2/2

Oh absolutely! Even in the low winter sun, we have dancing rainbows from our kitchen window decs.

Has she been putting her arms up the behind of birthing creatures!?

What a splendid hat!

That's really nice! It'll send lots of lovely bits of light round the room

I feel your pain. I was in receptionist and secretarial roles for years, and I will now not take on work that involves taking lots of phonecalls. I'm so done with people's poop that I'm likely to just tell them to eff off.

BOOO (joke!) X

HA. That made me giggle.

Absolutely.

That sounds BRILLIANT. I love a ham.

I didn't say they tasted exactly same, just that they're both boring, but I do consider turkey as something chicken adjacent. It's just not what I would choose for what I consider a roast Sunday dinner, which I see Thanksgiving and Christmas as a glorified version of.
November 26, 2025 at 11:25 AM
It's just fecking boring. We have chicken Sunday roasts all year round in UK, and turkey is just too similar. We don't celebrate thanksgiving, so when Christmas rolls round we have a sparerib of beef instead.

Because people aren't washing their kit properly. Some not at all! In my village circuits group I feel like handing out free samples of Dettol antibacterial washing stuff. It's always the same people who's baked in BO stinks after the 1st warmup.

I don't think we should celebrate something that essentially dances on the graves of the indigenous people who saved Americans from dying during their 1st winter. A version of Indigenous Peoples' Day however...

Apologies, I hadn't spotted which account you were reposting

It's a true statement when talking about the actual 'States', but I agree. A lot of Americans don't look back past the Mayflower.

I think The Secret Barrister is likely to have a very different point of view....look him up!
