So if Americans are deciding to be more responsible with their limited funds they’re going to be blamed for ruining the economy? Look, listen, if we have no money to spend, we stop spending. Maybe pay people enough to have discretionary income. Wealth hoarding by the elite class costs *everyone*.
If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

I think MTG is actually being a politician right here. I think she knows that there *will be* a post-Trump America. And what does that look like? What does the GOP do then? Post-MAGA? I think anyone on that side is going to have to distance themselves from Trump to survive. She’s just early.
I think Greene's resignation is easy to explain. She has a mind for conspiracies. And she's found one. It just so happens to be the Speaker protecting the President and a ring of kiddie rapists.

So the headline isn’t telling the whole story? Weird. I think we need to be better about that. Anyway, they’re still revising July and August’s numbers so I’m not exactly convinced that figure is correct or will even stick. Anybody actually working will tell you it’s not great out there.

The American Revolution doc is completely worth it. I’ve been patiently waiting for it for probably 6 months. It doesn’t disappoint. And….if you’re a PBS Passport member all the episodes are already available :)

This is disgusting. Yes, there are differences. However, there is one glaring similarity in the fact that they’re both *children*. A 15yo is closer to 18 than not but they also can’t legally drive, vote, and need their parents consent for a whole lot of things. I mean, cmon. WTF.

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

I just finished the Materialists movie. I’ll admit I didn’t have super high expectations going in. Rom-com right? But omg it was so cute and adorable. I am so glad I watched it.

I gave my dog a bath today. Even though he’s my baby most days, today he is now hiding under a blanket so that I can’t find him. I just wanted him to not be smelly and now I’m the absolute worst. So he’s not my ‘baby’ so much as he’s my toddler. Got it.

I’ve spent too much reading about AI today. I get the “make obscene amounts of money with no limits” attitude that’s big businesses often have. So, AI is the solution to automate and eliminate a shitload of jobs to maximize profit. Ok. What are people going to do for work? No paycheck = no spending.
