I'm not sure, but I will say, one time in Dothan, Alabama, I ordered a beef burrito at a Mexican restaurant, and received unseasoned, dusty-dry ground beef rolled in a tortilla.

Look I know the world is ass at the moment, and quite rightly my feed is depressing, but just for a break could we do an occasional hashtag game?

I’ll go first.

On the plane back from the trip of a lifetime in Alaska. I posted daily updates to Insta, Facebook and Threads, but realized that Bluesky was left out, so here’s a small selection of the glorious sights. (For the full album, see @heatherosborn on insta!)

Foods that I can never learn how to bake/cook as a type II diabetic, lest I shorten my life span by decades:
1. Cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, etc.
2. Crusty sourdough bread.
3. Red beans and rice.
4. Portuguese egg tarts.
5. New York style bagels.
What's your list?

In an effort to constantly distract myself from...everything, I have been sucked into WaterTok. And that has led to it's inevitable conclusion, in that I just ordered $80 worth of sugar free drink mixes that I will probably hate. (I have also started dabbling in protein coffee. Help.)

I know the world is burning, but today I remembered that I once unironically owned and wore snakeskin patterned pleather pants and it made me laugh and laugh.

The new Ohio House budget would change the public library funding model, slash $100 million from libraries over the next two years, require relocating all trans/gender related books from eyesight of those under 18, and so much more.

This is *devastating*

Ohio! It is early on a Friday morning, but this is a Get Up & Get Going moment. Start by contacting your state reps ASAP.

I was at work all day and missed the tariff wildness, but I *did* learn that the Ohio GOP is trying to defund the state's public libraries and make every book the library has with LGBTQ content be held in a back room accessible only by showing ID. You know, like renting a porno in the 80s.

It’s wild that everyone who wants America to be “run as a business” seems to want lower taxes.

That’s not what a business would do if it had a monopoly and the violence of the government behind it to set whatever price it wanted.

A business would send taxes through the roof.

Accomplished approximately one and a half tasks I had been putting off for way too long and therefore rewarded myself by buying a bunch of games from the Steam sale. As you do. I swear, little treats are getting me through the next 4 years.

Just thought of some amazing romance book titles based off of 80s teen movies (inspired by seeing Erica George's Witty in Pink): Petty in Pink, The Breakfast Snub, Sixteen Scandals, Better Off Wed, Flirty Dancing... Who has more? Also, goes without saying, #freetoagoodhome.

Yes it's a plagiarism machine meant to put us all out of work and enrich the worst people alive and yes one request expends more energy than it takes to power Buffalo for a week, but more than that anything to do with AI is just corny dork-made shit. It fucking sucks and so do you if you use it.

As I buy gifts from friends and family this year, I am buying myself an equal amount of treats in response. On one hand, little treats are getting me through this year, and likely the next 4 too, but on the other, it is getting ridiculous. (She says, with 3 advent calendars awaiting December 1st.)
