the specifics of ME/CFS are not fully mapped out, so different scientific articles operate under slightly different hypotheses. but the overview is clear among all research: the machinery for producing energy in the body is fundamentally compromised, and abnormal cell damage occurs during activity

some people with ME/CFS get lucky and find out they have it before their gap closes between "no activity" and "too much activity". those people can sometimes recover if given off-label pharmaceutical support, copious rest, and rigorous pacing. that is not most people in the ME/CFS patient group

they know how to get a deal out of a relationship with a different species. it's part general intelligence and part who they are as a species. it's not like the crow is always "untouched nature" and the human is always "urban invader". there can be reciprocity
