Two new RCT articles out testing nature-based wellbeing interventions against the most popular Positive Psychology Intervention: 3 Good Things. In both studies, nature-based interventions boosted wb without spending more time in nature, & boosted unique aspects of wb.

Researchers have been pointing out that these systems are probably “bags of heuristics” from the very beginning but pointing it out early literally cost some of them their jobs.
It’s kinda funny / harrowing that LLMs didn’t get smarter or less brute-force-y, we just got better graphics cards, and more comfortable with wasting obscene energy on what still remains the most overrated madlibs ever.
