Hi! I'm a brand new solo game developer based in Japan but from the U.S. I love narrative-driven games with feeling, especially if they evoke nostalgia and explore themes like childhood, friendship, family, love, loss, gratitude, and hope. Wish me luck!
Pinned
We're on Obon holiday here, so I have a little extra time to try and pin down the art style for my upcoming Visual novel, currently titled Canvas Hearts: The First Semester. I want it to be sketchy, but expressive.

Just make it exist first. You can make it good later.

One More good one I found today just as I'm off to bed. @tinybookshopgame.com by Neoludic is gorgeous and so relaxing. Man, I'm going to go broke if I keep finding upcoming games as good as I found today.

Another one from Nextfest I just played. #Undusted by #5minlab. Amazing artwork again. At first, I wasn't sure if the mechanic would keep my engaged, but by the end of the demo I was just zoning out and loving it.

Have the day off today, so I plan on working on my project and trying out some Nextfest demos! Just played #Anemorie by #InnGamez Studio, a point and click with some minigames. The art was super adorable and really well done. Def one I'll keep an eye on.

I appreciate every video, video game, and other things of media that mention blinking/flashing lights. They make my usually daily migraines so much worse. So, if you're a #gamedeveloper #contentcreator that issues these warning **THANK YOU**. #disabledgamers #migraines

I used to love doing semi-continuous line sketches. It's great practice to really look at something, and it's super fun and relaxing to me. Here's one of William Styron. My game will be in a similar style. I was playing with style last week, and will...

Nice advice. It's easy to get discouraged, but looking back at progress is a great motivator.
If you're ever stuck thinking you're not making it far with your #GameDev. Stop.

Take a moment to look at some of the earlier screenshots and compare. 👀

You'll be surprised just how far you've got. 😤

I'm sure I'm late to the party on this one, but I just have to say how amazing Trello is. I had compared it to Notion a while ago, but ended up going with Notion because it had more features. Mistake. #gamedev #indiedev #sologamedev

I just played the demo for #SushiBen by @dmawdev.bsky.social and it was amazing!

It was so full of little details and humor. I can't wait until September when it releases. The town reminded me of a trip I took to Tomonoura, which is also known as the inspiration for Ponyo. So cute and cozy.
