been doing some work on the daylight cycle, I fixed the star shader and made time based on ticks elapsed instead of seconds elapsed. Also got this nice screenshot :D #gamedev #indiedev #opengl #opentk #graphics #voxels
A screenshot of my game at sunset. There are hills and pine trees dotting the landscape.
Everyone check out this other block game that has popped up recently. Looks really cool and I love the direction it's going in!
couple days late but, happy 1 month birthday block game! what a difference a month of development makes

a voxel scene at night, set in a terrain of hilly dirt topped with grass and dotted with ferns and purple wildflowers. the remains of a ruined stone structure is visible in the middle of a cluster of trees. light shines from the ruin, casting streaks of light out from where the walls have crumbled down to the ground, and lighting up the nearby trees and leaves. the title bar reads "BlockGame"
This looks so good, I am genuinely excited for this. Really, really interested to see what it becomes, and excited to play it in the future
Accidentally broke my renderer yesterday, but it ended up producing some really cool glitch art. #gamedev #indiedev

The game is also DRM free, so you are welcome to hold onto your copy and continue playing even after it goes paid
Hey, thank you for playing! The game is going to enter early access next year which means it will cost money. I'm gonna charge $12 USD, but will apply regional pricing, so for example the price in brazilian real will be much cheaper (basically a permanent 50% discount)
The vibes are amazing!
Finally implemented better support for community translation in 0.9.5. People have been making translations for a while so I wanted to make sure they could see their hard work in the game. Still a lot of work to go before it is perfect, but it's a start :) #gamedev #indiedev

I think that is kind of what destiny hailstorm is doing for Voxel Eras, another indie voxel game. She has voxel lighting with shadows and it seems to work similarly, building a lightmap over time.
This is incredibly cool O:
How did you do the octagonal lighting? Is it 32 discrete levels instead of 16?
Incredible artwork of the forest spirit by Gen'ural in the Allumeria discord. Thanks so much! It's amazing to see people already making fan art for my janky little game :)

I'm on track to releasing Allumeria 0.9 on the weekend! This will be the last major version of the alpha available for free on itch, so don't miss your chance to grab it :) Will be moving to Steam playtesting for 0.10. Here's a sneak peek at all the new items! #gamedev #indiedev #solodev
A big screenshot of all the new items being added. over 65 new items in a chest.
My sincere noob experience with mint wasn't great, the biggest selling point people kept telling me was that you can install everything through the package manager and how simple it is, but when I got mint, all the software in the package manager was several years out of date ):
ooo that sounds great! I love procgen worlds. That description reminds me of cube world, but cube world had static terrain. A procedural RPG like that but with actual blocks sounds amazing
Do you have an idea where you are going to take this project? People are absolutely aching for more voxel games like this, especially since hytale got cancelled a few months back. I'm looking forward to seeing gameplay when you get to it :D
I feel the same way, all my lighting is linear and I have designed the game's aesthetic around it. For torches and point lights it actually helps a lot because it makes light feel like it reaches further, even if its not physically accurate.

Only just found this post today. Love that lamp design! Thanks for playing :)
Yes! I want to have multiplayer in when it launches on steam :)
Please check out this awesome video Dialko made about my game! It's a long video, but very entertaining. They do a great job at exploring the game's systems, and taking a calm approach to things. #gamedev #indiedev www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd6l...

Been spending a lot of time on making a more robust structure system that allows me to save builds I make and then slot them together procedurally. This allows for much bigger, more complex and more detailed dungeons. This is an early version of the snow dungeon coming in 0.9 #gamedev #indiedev
A sprawling ice dungeon, lit with blue lights and red lava
Just upgraded the painting system in Allumeria so that applying paint to a light will also change the colour of the light emitted! Trying to squeeze as much creative freedom out of my game's systems as possible without filling up the inventory with tons of clutter. #gamedev #indiedev #lighting
Thank you! Started working on it about 7 months ago now, been hard at work on the game the entire time :D
