This mystery place in Nagoya is maybe the coolest bookstore I've ever been to. Arrows lead you through the winding path of the store like a museum exhibit, all the shelves are giant books, and there are little sitting rooms/crime scenes throughout the store.

Went to see a special 35mm screening of Hakaider with a talk with the director Amemiya and art producer Takeya. Sounds like Takeya was put through it having to make things with a day’s notice 🥲

When I saw the trailer for 文字遊戯, I was very impressed by the concept and was even more impressed to learnt that it was a game from Taiwan which had been translated from Chinese. I can only imagine how difficult it must've been to translate this game.

When I saw the trailer for 文字遊戯, I was very impressed by the concept and was even more impressed to learnt that it was a game from Taiwan which had been translated from Chinese. I can only imagine how difficult it must've been to translate this game.

13. Occult (dir. Koji Shiraishi, 2009).
Everyone's familiar with Noroi: The Curse. A fantastic film, to be sure, but Shiraishi didn't make just one great found footage horror flick, he made *several.* I'd go as far as to say Occult might even be on par.
