Major over analysis but one thing I love about Beware of Chicken is the seemingly very intentional celebration of a diversity of gender performances. Characters that are very different from each other in body type and personality and talents are all lauded not just as good but attractive

I don't think we talk enough how much the ADHD & esp AuDHD end of the Neurospicy world sometimes feels like being three raccoons in a trenchcoat or possibly 5 possums steering a human-shaped megazord and sometimes we're just a little slow to input the complex sequence of commands for "act normal"

Had an action movie moment. Told the party I didn't need to be included in the Bless spell and walked out from hiding on my first turn and crit Sneak Attacked an eldritch monstrosity into pieces with my giant radioactive pistol 😆

New campaign prep is in the works. Dropped the pre-movie opening scrawl campaign blurb on the players and opened up my toybox of subclasses (and the offer to build new ones). We're going full bells and whistles here. 4 players have signed on and I'm waiting to hear from invite 5

I know a lot of men have been complaining about romance novels getting more space recently but I have a highly specific complaint. My wife's favorite romance series got an endcap that pushed out my books at our local Target. Not the books I read, the books I wrote

I think Japan is just not having the same kinds of conversations as everyone else. Slavery, SA, general misogyny & cultural appropriation are all apparently fair game in Anime
