Loved Poppy's last album "Negative Spaces" but it fell just short of my AOTY list in 2024. But if I re-did the list now I think I would put it on there, the more I listen to the album the more I like it!

Looking forward to her new album "Empty Hands" next year! www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvaP...

I love editing corporate AI slop videos for a living, wow its so cool! Love how each clip is inconsistent and the guy creating the clips have minimal control over how they really turn out...

Really useful tech, great for creating videos where the world looks like jello! 🤩 Man, someone end me

Farewell to one of brightest stars of the golden age of Japanese cinema: Nakadai Tatsuya, who starred in some of history's greatest films, has passed away at the age of 92. Major roles included those in Ran, Hara Kiri, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Kagemusha, The Human Condition, and many more.

This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"

China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

Decided to subscribe, it's so important to have good independent games media in these trying times!
Despite the ravages of age and an internet steeped in misinformation, your eyes – in this one case – do not deceive you: Website different. It’s taken an immense amount of time and effort, but welcome to Aftermath version 2.0:

HOT TAKE: modern insistence that theres a 'right' way to design games is leading to homogenised cookie cutter games.

That's why every game you played in the 1990s was a weird, enchanting delight and everything now is a bit stale and makes you feel like you've played it before.

END HOT TAKE

Maybe the solution to burnout is starting on yet another video game prototype? Have anyone thought about that?

Holy, it’s happening!🔥 Been using @passivestar.bsky.social theme for a long time, can’t wait to not have download and import it, great work! 💙
The new godot UI theme has been merged and is on its way to be the new default!

I consider godot to be one of the most important software projects of our time and it's a huge privilege to be able to contribute to it. Happy to see it grow and be used for increasingly ambitious games and apps ❤️

Tale as old as the industry itself. Big conglomerate jumps into gaming when the market is riding high on some market wave, finds out making games is hard, actually, and leaves the space.

A few years go by, the video game market surges again and back they come.

Decided to delete my post about the Halo:CE remake, I am not going to be the Unreal nerd who nitpick on the game before it's out.😅 Probably a good project for the team to get a feel for Unreal and it's quirks! 🤘
