Thank you Bluesky. I just don't know how I'm going to get through the next couple of years without this.

It is only fair that the great Nyarlathotep is the first output of the new printer. All hail the crawling chaos.

Factorio is breaking my brain.

It's always nice to see the itch dashboard tick over. While it is super satisfying there are people out there who enjoy my stories and modules I think I am somewhat off my goal of becoming a retired horror and rpg writer. Oh well, there's still a few good years left in the bones :)

20% is generous for this pile of dog-sh$t. Who ... I ask seriously, who loved the original movie was asking for a rewrite and one that is so unfaithful to the original? So tired of wannabe writer hacks screwing up good source material.

Obsidian.md has become my #1 go-to tool. It's a massive part of how I prep for games with deep linking into PDFs and other amazing functionality. The Canvas is incredibe for ttRPG scenario layout as well as being able to plan out chase scenes for games like Call of Cthulhu.

Finally went deep on Dolmenwood last night - current release - I am blown away by how much detail there is in the world. Also, I think this will become the poster-child on how to write a monster bestiary. Absolutely fantastic!

God Masks of Nyarlathotep is a dangerous Call of Cthulhu campaign but such amazing fun at the table. First perma-death. Aimee, our French journalist, having survived fat sucking kharisiri and a bout of madness was one-shot in a lonely basement in Harlem. Massive damage, no chance of recovery.

New drop - Better Bouts of Insanity - tweaks and improvements to Call of Cthulhu's Bouts of Madness all on one double sided A4. Can be used in other ttRPGs like Delta Green etc. Let me know if you like it. hackrpg.itch.io/better-bouts...

Some fun with Mythic Bastionland and Hex Kit. I'll likely hand ink my final realm map when I run it. Solid Hex creation rules. Spark tables work so well for map elements, NPCs, holdings, relationships & on the fly creation. Every so often a game comes along and lifts the bar. Can't wait to play.

Pretty much every @jerilryan.bsky.social post on Bluesky at the moment and it’s awesome.

@demiplane.bsky.social any idea when tool-tips for traits (eg. weapon traits) will be coming for Pathfinder 2e

Ouch. Diablo III still going strong.

I don't know what the answer is here. It's like the streaming business model is coming to gaming where everyone can justify ongoing purchases of content you already own. Really what is ownership anymore? So what do GMs do - perhaps owning books, pdfs, buy in to VTT & now a slew of gated platforms?

It's moments like this, where your #ttrpg players had a good session and really took part in a collective experience that makes being a GM worthwhile. Call of Cthulu rocks for atmosphere.

Playing with Fantasy Grounds - evaluating it for an upcoming long and complex campaign. Chuffed the encounter tracker DOESN'T NEED TO BE LINKED TO A MAP (one of my biggest gripes with foundry for theatre of the mind games). Also getting punched in the face by a monster in Call of Cthulhu hurts.

So being laid up with Covid wasn’t in this week’s plans. Seriously impacted my game schedule. Was too tired for anything mentally strenuous and led to some odd doodling. I’m not sure what the samurai pig croc is all about. I blame brain fog.
