Tautoko.

Sometimes I finish as early as 17 or 18 Dec but most years it's 23 Dec, back on 5 or 7 Jan, occasionally as late as 9 Jan - so tired of their rhetoric.

It extends to religion here in Aotearoa & Te Waipounamu 😉

However, one of our key cultural values (my current working understanding of) is that what's tika or correct for one may not be for another - so there is a broad spectrum of attitudes towards decolonisation plus faith.

Each to their own. ❣️

Shared with aroha for all those scarred by wars they / we did not choose nor profit from.

Also shared with hope.

The voices of the next generation, unafraid to call out the gaps between what is said and what is done, what has and is happening, will always seed hope for me.

The illusion of Western peacemaking
When peacemaking ignores truth, it risks turning war crimes into opinion and genocide into a story with two sides.

Goodness... Having bused with multiple small children to get them to kōhaka reo and to kura, that seems like an oversight.

Or a window into the thinking patterns of the planners.
