It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on September 30, 1993. George Harrison and David Crosby guest star as themselves, and the Dapper Dans partly provide the singing voices of the Be Sharps. The episode was originally produced as the last episode for the fourth season, it was held over to air as season 5 premiere, and therefore being the last episode produced by the show's original writers.

bad Stephen King movie adaptations are their own film genre & LM is the masterclass of the genre. It’s one of the oddest, off base adaptations of all time. the short story is literally about a hired "lawnmower man" that operates a self-mowing machine & requires human sacrifices. SK sued em over it.

In a real life Fahrenheit 451 scenario, 36 copies of “Slaughterhouse-Five” were burned on order by Drake, ND’s school board. The board never read the book, but proceed anyways. Backlash ensued as the town was compared to Nazism.

In 1933, when the Nazis rose to power, All Quiet became one of the first “degenerate” books to be publicly burnt.

When the Nazis came to power, Remarque left Germany for Switzerland; he lost his German citizenship, his books were burned, and his films banned. He went to the United States in 1938 and became a citizen in 1947. He later lived in Switzerland with his second wife, the actress Paulette Goddard. He died in September 1970.
