1/ The NYT is a great institution in a lot of ways. Many many people produce fantastic work. It is the least compromised of our major news outlets.
It's problem has always been its arrogance. Almost all of its violations, big and small, can be traced back to that.

Anyway, that's the positive side of what I've been doing and thinking about. Unfortunately though it is fascism outside, and to the stage they have opened a concentration camp in the country instead of outside of our borders. There are secret police refusing to ID abducting people in the streets

For cheese sauce I tried a lot of things, from making a real cheese sauce from ground up, cheatsy doodle style with American cheese like Adam Ragusea, and pre-made...
Turns out the Kroger brand pre-made is about as good as the best from scratch. So I just stopped doing that

If I like a thing I tend to want to figure out how to make it myself, and pick apart better what about it I like so much. This then means I can experiment and find compliments to it that maybe work really good for my tastes

So since the last time I was really on here I started trying to focus on making my own snacks more, and one of the best things for that has been salsa. Pico de gallo is a staple, but lately been trying more away from the salsa cruda comfort
