If you asked me what would cause a crime wave, I wouldn't even come up with killing SNAP and WIC as America's largest companies, such as Amazon layoff thousands of workers, because I would start with the basic premise of the government not wanting children to starve.

It's hard to look away from the news when you don't just want, but need as much early warning that your marriage may be dissolved, and your spouse deported. I can't stop looking at the train wreck, in part because it may be barreling towards us.

Advice: I am paid to pay attention to the news, and even I just shut it off for a day now and then. Don't doomscroll, don't news-surf, don't react to every single thing. Flooding the zone with crazy stuff every day is the point and it's meant to paralyze you.
