He wants each PI to explain their research in 15 minutes. There are like 80 PIs. He will decide all by his infallible self, who is worthy and who is not. ( Labs are site visited every 4 years for peer review by experts).

CBER has 4 stories of labs, and like 80 PIs . It would take Prasad months to go through all the research programs. If he was even qualified to do so, they cover infectious disease, blood safety, stem cell biology and gene therapy safety.

How did I ever miss this? Pretty amazing arrogance. And he appears to still be taking up academic space at UT Southwestern. Will these guys never retire? Bethesda was becoming a sheltered workshop for the elderly, at least until Trump made it less hospitable.
