Some old digital art inspired by some thumbs I did for a Battlechasers design contest.... from 2015?!??! Oh gawd, that was ten years ago???

Rendered digital drawing of a female wraith with two scythes. She doesn't look too scary until you see the umbral corruption in the skirt, in the gems on her scythes, and in the red flicker of her eyes.

Pencil drawing of the wraith. I wanted to make it look like she was on a miniature base, I think it helps people imagine it as a 3D model and increases the appeal.

Rough sketch of the wraith, I basically traced the original thumbnail.

A bunch of thumbnails for what I called "Whisper Wights", though Wraiths would be more accurate. I was debating whether to arm them with weapons or have them rely on magic or seduction instead. Ultimately I chose the latter, which led me to choosing the upper right thumbnail for the contest, which was completely overlooked. When I met Joe Mad later at PAX one year, he pointed at the one on the lower right and said "You should have chosen this one, I love it, I'm stealing that."
