So no-one seems to have reported that there is another party on Kapa-Kingi’s side …
There are also other parties on Tamihere’s side, potentially TPM?

Legit one of my fave photos from China earlier this year. It’s a police station.

After two years following work toward this, I can finally report that more than 40 duty lawyers are taking industrial action over pay rates in January.
It’ll include 80 per cent of those in Auckland District Court.
Duty lawyers act for those charged with criminal offences who don’t have lawyers.

Also Naenae and Ōtaki for those slightly further afield.

Welly peeps; Cole is back from six months in the West Bank. He’ll been speaking in Newtown on Tuesday.

Had this with a story about women in the unusual field of artificial breeding of cows, headlined with “mum army”.
You never get Trump, Vance or Musk described as “high-powered dads” even though they (technically) are.

Always a good sign of how things are going in a profession when there’s a Christmas party warning.

HDPA needs to resign over this. Women don’t need to be perfect victims to speak up. This woman has been mistreated by McSkimming, the Police and now NZME because of her desperation at being silenced by the agency women are told they MUST go to in order to be believed.

Just a normal day where “free speech” advocate Stephen Franks enthuses over Brian Tamaki scaring children who just wanted to be read stories by folk in fun costumes.

I think there’d be a bunch of ANZACs in trenches honoured to know the day memorialising them is also exactly 9 months before the most common birthday in Australia.

See how long this one remains up, I guess.

RNZ’s headline on the death of Lee Tamahori describes him as a “legendary Ngāti Porou filmmaker”.
1News, the Herald and Stuff, on the other hand, just went with “Once Were Warriors director”.

Feels like “mr goats” is an iconic exchange.

Sorry, given we’ve just hit a nine-year high in unemployment, it’s frankly irresponsible that RNZ angled its coverage of KiwiSaver hardship withdrawals this way.

Luxon’s FB page is full of the GIF of Dr Evil & MiniMe. I flipped it, it works.

That wonderful photo of the dapper Frenchman is legit (it’s by AP photographer Thibault Camus) but there’s no proof he’s a detective or has connections to the Louve investigation, as some have claimed.
Sorry 🫣

Better watch out for any new Hamilton city councillors now Tim Macindoe has been promoted to mayor. He somehow has a terrible track record of successors…

Not your standard sunglasses branding #China

Travelling in China, we’ve spotted some great shirts.
Misspellings, nonsense phrases or outright absurdities (such as swear words on children’s clothing).
One which just repeated the phrase “fuck you” to form the silhouette of a panda. It takes the cake so far.
This comes in second.

Jacquie Sturm’s poem Brown Optimism on the side of the Wellington library is incredible!

I just wish it noted that she worked at the library for ages.
Otherwise it’s just a poem on a library wall that seemingly doesn’t connect to a particular place - until you find out Sturm‘s history.

But mate, you haven’t heard that solar panels can burn things!!
