I was pumped for "Dream Eater," and while there were some cool moments, it's ultimately kind of a let down.

A ★★½ review of Dream Eater (2024)
I hate to say this given how excited I was for the movie, but Dream Eater is just... okay. Even bad found footage is fun to me and this is certainly a vibe at times, but it's still chock-full of trope...

A pair of holiday gifts from a good friend. I don't know much about Smooth Talk but Parasite is basically a class warfare horror film.

It's... Monster Movie Monday! 🧟‍♂️

Today's pick is: "Bubba Ho-tep"!

In light of recent events, this feels appropriate. LOL. Anyway, Bubba Ho-tep features the always magnanimous Bruce Campbell as a senior who believes he's Elvis fighting off an ancient mummy in a nursing home.

Watch on MGM+ or VOD.

Yesterday's viewings! The Long Walk and Strange Harvest... Two wildly different films that I enjoyed for different reasons. Take the latter's ratings with a grain of salt—it's good for what it is, but it's nothing revolutionary. That being said, I enjoyed it.

Review: Keeper is not only Osgood Perkins’ best work to date, it’s up there as one of the most interesting and palpable horror films I’ve seen in a while.

Go in with an open mind and zero plot expectations and allow it to ooze its way under your dermis.

I don't know about SEVEN whole ass "Clown" movies but the first is wildly underrated and a super twisted creature feature.
Does Jon Watts plan on making a sequel to his 2014 horror movie CLOWN?

"[We] have it all mapped out. We’d want to do seven of them. There are a lot of facets to the story that we’re still interested in telling."

He teases, "Anyone can put on the suit."

Jon Watts is best known for directing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man films, but he made his feature debut in the horror genre with Clown. With Germany’s Turbine Medien releasing the 2014 f...

Del Toro's Frankenstein is haunting, tragic, and beautiful. The world still feels Gothic and ancient but scientifically advanced in an uncanny way. Jacob Elordi is fantastic.

It's a little less horror-leaning than you may expect but there's still plenty to like and the emotional impact hits hard.
