Cynopterus brachyotis (Lesser Dog-faced Fruit Bat, Common Fruit Bat) is common to abundant throughout much of its range. It occurs in a range of habitats from lowland primary and secondary forests to mangroves, cultivated areas, and parks and gardens.

"You said what?I'm moving in to the big kids flight aviary?!"Every week all our bats are weighed, measured and assessed and I am pleasedto say our creche bats are all growingso well and progressing perfectly through their release plans.Gaining loads of healthy weight and buildingthose flight skills.

🦇 Little Brown Bats are widespread across North America. "Myotis" is the genus they belong to (Myotis lucifugus) and it means "mouse-eared". It is still correct to call them a Little Brown Bat - using "Myotis" is just a little more descriptive.

The Lesser Funnel-eared Bat (Chilonatalus micropus),a miniature 2.6 to 5 grams species endemic to Jamaica,Hispaniola, and a few other smaller islands in the Caribbean.We were very lucky to get one individual in one of our traps. Despite what the first photo could suggest, this species is not blind,
