– pretty dour & joyless compared to Wicked
– stop trying to make “in a clock’s tick” happen
– the reveal of Elphaba’s father fell super flat
– trying to perfectly retrofit the Wicked story so fits into the 1939 classic was… a choice
– questionable messaging IMHO
