Truly.. A lot of fans have torn apart and reassembled the way xmen writes oppression/bigotry/etc but i think it comes from a place of love. Closest to being seen both thematically and textually- the way xmen is we get tons of new characters from all walks. Is that not a story in and of itself.
I know it sounds weird, but I really do think of the X-Men as more than just another comics team.
People who are X-fans have a connection that you just don't always see with other books, it's not just about quality, it's about a feeling they are speaking to you directly.

charlie kirk died for what he believed in. in a very literal sense: he believed in a world where gun deaths are inevitable and the solution to problems is violence. he excused his own death years before it happened. and if anyone else had been killed he'd already be weaponizing and relativizing it.

Depely funny for DC looking at a batfam title then goes idk maybe violent nazi propagandists who incite violence are cool and good actually. Do they look at the Joker and keep having him work w Batman cuz they think Jokers really just one of us who has a different method to a shares dream.
