On this day 1978, Arsenal's reserves beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 at Highbury. Arsenal's goals were scored by Cliff Cant, John Kosmina and 17 year old Danish trialist Jesper Olsen. Yes, THAT Jesper Olsen.

On this day 1996, Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-1 in the North London Derby.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose, as Arsene would say.

As much as I love living in Shakespeare country, it’s always nice to see photos of my old manor. Here’s a lovely one someone sent me of North London today….

Three Arsenal players have scored a hat-trick in a North London Derby:
1934-5 Ted Drake
1978-9 Alan Sunderland
2025-6 Ebere Eze
In each case, this was the player's first ever #NLD
November 23, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Congratulations to Ebere Eze for scoring his first Arsenal hat-trick and Arsenal's 245th hat-trick in a competitive first team game. (HT @hente_afsc).
He is the first Arsenal player to score hat-trick in a #NLD since Alan Sunderland in 1978.

Thread. As It's the #NLD today there are bound to be loads of T*tt*nh*m fans brining up Arsenal's election to the 1st Division in 1919, making claims of bribery. However, there are two parts to this that are never mentioned by them or in their history books. 1/5

Some of you might remember my almost legendary Season Diary, which I began way back during the Summer of Suarez, continuing through much of the Banter Era.
I’ve decided to revive it & move my blog - Proud To Say That Name - here. Read, enjoy, share, subscribe etc

Seeing as it's the North London Derby, here's the programme cover, team line-ups page and a match ticket from the first ever #NLD.

It's an OK goal but only because of Foden's world class pass that set it up on a plate for him.
Happy Kieran Tierney, Happy me. Happy Scotland ! 🥹❤️

Born on this day 1892 in Crosshouse, near Kilmarnock - Andy Neil. He was the first Arsenal inside-forward that played in a withdrawn role as Herbert Chapman worked towards perfecting his WM formation. This is how Charlie Buchan recollected that decision.

Tried a few Google searches before finding a post on mumsnet of all places that may solve my issue. WTF happened to "turn it off and then back on again"?

Well, there's a surprise. First cold spell and the Hive thermostat stops working.
Why is everything so shit nowadays?

If you watched Arsenal in the 1980s you will love this. What a top top bloke Ian Allinson is.

I was asked by someone on the other site if I could produce a table of Arsenal's goalscorers with goals scored in each competition. I thought that would be a good idea, so here's a sortable table of them. Enjoy.
