It's after the end of the world. Don't you know that yet?
Is White Sky the new D'Orc?

Easily Thor: Love and Thunder. Basically killed my love affair with the MCU singlehandedly--prior to that I was of the mindset "well, these shows have been a little rocky but they'll find their footing again!" and then L&T was basically like seeing the Matrix Code of dogshit
fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

Maybe this is controversial but I think The Dark Knight Returns is a masterpiece even if it's not The Same Kind of Communist I Am, and it absolutely is not

Every new American comic book in 2026 falls into one of two categories: you're either a Harley Quinn X Elvira, or you're a Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre.

Bleeding Hearts is good! First issue is a little slow-paced but I trust Camp. Small observation: in a society where the primary (and only) form of social conditioning is naming someone for their actions, the lead, Mouse-Pokes-Golf-Ball-Through-Hole-In-Head, is named after something done TO him

Get them into the workforce to do what jobs, man
Florida AG James Uthmeier: "We need to focus on getting people into the workforce even earlier. We passed legislation last year to help high school students get their hands dirty and get on job sites more quickly."

I've never been more sure that AOC is both going to run for president and win (at the very least) the primary than seeing the center attempt to gaffe-police her "south of the equator" comment. Same shit they pulled with Trump 2016, trying to get him on technicality so they don't have to talk policy.

I don't understand the mindset of the leftists (mostly on Twitter) who are extremely anti-AOC while still pretending to be interested in voting for president at all. If you're waiting for someone further to her left to become a viable frontrunner for president then you will be waiting a WHILE!

Fumbled over my words and said "gest" when I meant "digest" and you know what I think I'm just gonna keep saying it, it sounds like cyberpunk slang from a world focused around Cybernetic Stomachs

As yet another round of "is OBAA mocking leftists" discourse ramps up on the other site, I think people are forgetting that the French 75 DO make material change beyond blowing shit up. It's not "LARPing 75ers vs Real Hero Sensei", the film opens with them freeing people from a detention center!

Yeah the right wing of the country got way more openly racist and the secret police have been emboldened to tear gas random children whenever they feel like but at least the labor market is terrible and we'll all be poorer forever

Again, I said it before, when do we start over

Really interesting look at the goals and focus of modern conservativism in America that Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl is a massive culture war issue for the right, when just last year it was headlined by a rapper and no one (outside the usual suspects) really cared

Manga section at a public library: 15 volumes of every remotely mainstream manga ever made, everything else is softcore pornography

Graphic novel section: Volume 3 of a New 52 book no one likes, webtoon collections, random graphic biographies and everything by Neil Gaiman

Arrived at the public library 5 minutes before it opened

The Voice of Hind Rajab is the most I've cried to a movie in a long, long time. Handles a central hook that could very easily be be exploitative or cheap with intelligence and grace. Up there with Eddington and The Shrouds as a movie that really understands how the current moment feels.

Return of the Jedi good 👍

After finally watching the entire original Star Wars trilogy, I'd say I'd probably rate them all around the same. Each has some things they excel at and some they struggle with and it all kinda balances out for me.
