As someone at the stadium who is currently eating dinner offsite and fully intends to return for the game, no one is mad about the game being delayed. The utter lack of communication or ability to make a tough decision led to fans sitting in dangerous heat for two hours. Just make a decision!
This entire thread should be essential reading for the whole of NWSL leadership. I don't attend matches where temps are expected in the 90s bcs I've experienced heat stroke once in my life & don't wish it on anyone. Fans were roasting during the heat deliberations today at CPKC Stadium. 👎
Teams are re-entering the pitch. But it would appear we just had a WBGT reading of 92.4. The PA anouncer told everyone that the players were coming to warm up. To say that this has been a cluster would be an understatement.
