Do you remember when games had jingles when you hit the start button? Like, in Silent Hill, or how the resident evil man says RESIDENT EEVIIIL?
We stopped doing it and I hate that this tradition is gone. I miss it so much, I put it in Wanderstop, a game I worked on.

fwiw: game music, especially music that comes from a place of deep respect for fan communities as part of its creation, deserves to live in conversation with each other & not locked down behind a gate. that's always been my stance on the things i have copyright control over. in case it wasn't clear.

I keep forgetting new iOS and macOS went straight to version 26 (after being on 18 and 15 respectively) and now whenever I see something like "iOS 26" I have to sort out my brain remembering what the hell is going on. XD
