Fri - 24/05 - 12:00 UTC @MrEliptik MrEliptik discovered Godot in late 2019 while browsing GitHub at his software engineering job. He never really considered making games an option as it seems way too complex, but Godot seemed different. Reading through the “make your first game” doc, game development finally seemed approachable. He made his first game during the GitHub Game Off 2019 and has been in love with Godot since then. In 2022 he released his first game Dashpong with the aim of being a full time indie GameDev. He makes videos about his GameDev journey on YouTube, and uses his 2nd channel as well as a Udemy course to share knowledge about the engine. On Twitch, MrEliptik livestreams working on his next game Hyperslice. Hyperslice, Steam Hyperslice is a fast paced action arena roguelike where you defeat waves of enemies using your dash. Slice through enemies or push them to survive. Upgrade and buy abilities throughout your run to turn your ship into a killing machine.

Thu - 23/05 - 15:00 UTC @Aarimous Aarimous began learning game development in 2020 when he participated in the Ludum Dare 46. He switched to Godot after watching a Dev Duck video about it, and has never looked back. Since then, he has participated in many game jams and created numerous prototypes that never saw the light of day. Finally, in 2022, during his first stint as a full-time game developer, he created his first commercial game, Chess Survivors, of which he is incredibly proud. Self-funding his second adventure as a full-time game developer, Aarimous aims to make his business profitable. He is currently working on his next two commercial games and has been sharing his journey live on Twitch and in videos on YouTube. Aarimous focuses on teaching the soft skills of game development and instilling the belief that anyone can learn to make their own game. Wed - 22/05 - 7:00 UTC @kebabskal Hannes and Alfred Rahm are brothers from Jönköping, Sweden. Together they make up "Cuddle Monster Games" with Hannes doing art & code while Alfred does music & sound; design is a shared passion between them. Their previous games are called "Hell is Other Demons" and "Lone Ruin" - go check them out on Steam! Hannes has a background in graphic design, UI/UX, and web programming. On his development streams he not only sports self-built ergonomic keyboards and provides an excellent alternative playlist, but also allows insight into the behind the scenes of the siblings' current project "Ocean Mirror". His brother Alfred is a seasoned chef with an unhealthy Sriracha obsession. He also plays guitar in the band Bite Down, yet Hannes is the one owning too many guitars... Tue - 21/05 - 10:30 UTC @RafaLagoon Rafa Laguna has been a professor for more than 20 years, teaching programming, usability, and video game design among other subjects. In 2011 he made the leap into video game development with his own company, releasing mobile games. Rafa tried Godot for the first time in 2018 and fell deeply in love with the engine and its community. Since then he has become a strong advocate for the project, creating more than 80 games live on Twitch for his viewers to learn from & enjoy. Recently, he also organized the first Spanish "Godot Meeting" and is eager to support his local community further - after all, he is a 100% FLOSS advocate since 2000! Two Cows (Steam) Two Cows is a challenging puzzle platform game for one or two players. Imagine that you have two cows on a farm. These cows don't care what you want to do with them, they just want to live their love in freedom. And they will do everything possible to escape from there.

Mon - 20/05 - 16:00 UTC @RothioTome Rocío Tomé has been a professional programmer for 7 years now, with vast experience making serious games for the healthcare industry. For several years she worked at Unity, as a Developer Support Engineer. In the Godot community, she became known for winning a game jam with her very first project "Diggy Doggo" in the engine. She immediately fell in love with Godot and its community since then and never stopped using it. Nowadays, she makes up half of Patattie Games, the studio currently developing "Wax Heads", and streams the progress almost daily on her Twitch channel. Rocío also is a co-founder of FemDevs, a non-profit association of female video game developers, as well as a technical public speaker at renowned conferences like Mobile World Congress, T3chfest, or Codemotion.
