Mine is the same! She's a JR/Staffy cross - and might as well be a scent hound. Every pillar, post, tree, square inch of pavement has to be sniffed.

I'm not aware of there being any female F1 drivers. Not sure about lower formula racing levels. There are women rally drivers.
I don't follow F1 either, but I gather driving one of those cars is tough, and requires a lot of strength.

This was my first Pratchett read - having seen the tv adaptation. It's a great seasonal story.
Of course, I went on to read all the other Discworld novels.

The little extract on Strictly last night was lovely. It seems to embrace the Christmas concept of 'comfort and joy'.

Morning Womble - from a rather blustery Dublin.
This week I read The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman. The Thursday Murder Club rides again!
Now reading A Merry Irish Christmas by Clodagh Murphy - sounds twee, but is actually funny, romantic & nicely seasonal.

'Can you see me Dad? Can you see me?' ❤️🐕
Glad it went well.

Poor Edgar. I hope he'll be better soon.

There are showers that connect to Alexa? Mine (electric) just produces hot water. Clearly I am being shortchanged!! 🤣

They had a Christmas album - who knew?! I know their 'Solstice Bells', of course, but I thought that was it.

Oh no! Poor Edgar - and, no doubt, even poorer you after Vet fees!

Thank you 😁🎄

Good for you. I've not started on my trees (I put up three!) yet, but I did give my hall door wreath a makeover yesterday. I just need to polish the brasses before hanging it up outside. At the moment it's hanging on the back of the door.

Print a nice picture of a decorated tree & hang it on a wall (if there's space?).

Ah! In that case it's great that you have that option - especially with such a wonderful book.

Morning Womble - from a sunny but chilly Dublin.
I am reading The Skeleton Road by Val McDermid - part of her Karen Pirie series.

I'm thinking of a re-read of The Lord of the Rings early in the New Year. It's two years since I last read it. I'll be reading it, rather than listening to it though. I've never taken to audio books.

I remember seeing Felicity Kendal & Roger Rees in The Real Thing in London - a long time ago now (early 1983?). It was wonderful.

BBC Sport website. They won - so hopefully wine was poured! 😉

Yes, excellent film.

Sensible Sophie!

My dog hates the vacuum cleaner & runs upstairs once I start using it. My friend's cat (somewhat anti social anyway) just leaves the house when their cleaner turns up!

Ouch! I trust the bone recovery was successful though?
