I was at a doctoral workshop last week in Madrid. It was an international gathering and they didn't know I was English. People talked about how a year in the UK was a right of passage for many European students but now they go elsewhere. It's such a shame as we have lost all those connections.

Personally I rarely watch the BBC but there are things it does better than anyone else. Regardless of that, Zack Polanski is totally right, it is ours, its history is our history. When Trump threatens it he’s threatening us!
