We gotta double, triple, quadruple that negativity people.

They should be scared to even use words with AI in them.

They should be scared to ever speak again.
Jensen Huang of Nvidia, $NVDA, has said relentless negativity around AI is hurting society and has done a lot of damage, per Techspot.

If you're a French speaker, Les fondations de l'imaginaire localizes indie TTRPGs into French, and they now have an itch page with the first 19 games they've translated!

My saying is always "A game is like a baby horse. If it can stand, it can run."
It may be gangly and awkward, but it will only get stronger by running.
playtest early! playtest because it's fun. you're going to surprise yourself with how little game is needed for a meaningful playtest.
Playtest early.

Lo-res prototypes: Encourage players to focus on fewer parts. Are easier to change. Encourage a wider range of feedback.

High-res prototypes, or semi-complete games, can be hard to test. They're often too busy, complicated, and polished to get honest, sometimes tough, feedback.

Whole thread is great and is why I often say that the biggest bane of playing TTRPGs (after scheduling) is mismatch of expectations. I usually talk about it in a context of tone, scope and the like since I'm not a game designer but the point is the same
Our expectations are going to be completely out of whack. We are not going to be able to communicate or play effectively as a result.

This is not because Jeff's knowledge is good or my ignorance is bad, but because we lack of medium of communication.

“If you don’t play games or watch movies with generative ai, you won’t be able to play new games or watch new movies in the future.”

If that were true, which it isn’t, I’m ok with that. There are enough old movies and enough old games that I’ve never seen or played to last me my life.

Actually stick to a solo TTRPG this time! Last attempt didn't work sadly.

Also, maybe I should try histing something online? I've only hosted PuGs in person but that was many years ago and times have changed. We'll see
What TTRPG new year resolutions have you made for 2026? ✨

Are you aiming to play more Solo TTRPG's? Looking to improve your character creation skills? Or how about adding to your dice hoard?

something very special about the way it is explicitly and unavoidably *formed of* games culture, rooted in games culture; while pointedly a counter to the false idea that games culture is inherently exclusionary, hostile, reactionary.
