Egyptian FM Badr Abdelatty spoke with Qatari PM and FM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. According to Al-Qahera News—an Egyptian state-linked channel affiliated with the intelligence service: 1. The two reaffirmed support for deploying an international stabilization force in Gaza where the mandate must be narrowly defined to support early recovery and reconstruction without interfering in Palestinian governance. This differs from the leaked American proposal under discussion at the UN in New York, which envisions broader security powers for the force, including disarmament. 2. They also agreed that any future arrangement must link Gaza and the West Bank under a single Palestinian authority capable of managing its own affairs. The proposal makes no reference connection to the West Bank, though Palestinian resistance leaders have repeatedly stressed the need for linking governance under a single reference to maintain connection. 3. The two ministers further condemned Israeli settlement expansion and repeated violations in the West Bank, warning they undermine prospects for peace. 4. Abdelatty also briefed his Qatari counterpart on Egypt’s stance toward Sudan, denouncing atrocities in El-Fasher and urging an unhindered humanitarian response. They stressed full coordination between Cairo and Doha to consolidate the ceasefire and build on progress made at the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit.
